Mrs. Sipe was born in Lubbock, Texas on September 5, 19244, graduating from Lubbock High School in 1942. In 1943 she became the wartime bride of Elbert Othel Sipe, and the couple relocated to the Hamlin area in 1946. She subsequently worked as a sales clerk in the BryantLinks, and Baileys department stores. She later moved to office management jobs at the Hamlin Memorial Hospital, Andrews Furniture store in Abilene, and the Hamlin branch office of Lone Star Gas Company. She was an avid booster of Pied Piper athletics and band activities, and the American Cancer Society.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents, James Samuel and Senith Lashley Lancaster and eight siblings. She is survived by her son and daughterinlaw, Ronald and Mary Lou Sipe two granddaughters, Kristen Shoemate and her husband Justin and Lindsey Mikeska and her husband Cody four greatgrandchildren, Abigail, Austin, Tate, and Calvin one brotherinlaw, Walter Taylor Sipe and his wife Mary and several nieces and nephews.
Her family extends its sincere thanks to Dr. Clinton Cavouti, and Dr. Anton Melnyk and staffs for their compassionate health care during Mrs. Sipes late years. Special thanks are also extended to the fine staff at Mesa Springs Retirement Village for maintaining a caring responsive home environment.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, Mrs. Sipes memory, to the West Texas Rehab Center, or the Mesa Springs Retirement Village employee fund in appreciation of the caring staff.
