Blake Chase

Blake O'Neil Chase, 29, formerly of Hamlin passed away November 28, 2018, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Hamlin. Burial will follow in the Hamlin Memorial Cemetery. A wake is set for Thursday, December 6, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home in Hamlin.

Born August 26, 1989, in Stamford, to Bronda and Jarvis (Lynn) Chase of Hamlin. He grew up and was a long-time resident of Hamlin. Blake was active in both band as a percussionist and varsity football. Graduating in the Class of 2008, alongside his high school sweetheart, Cynthia Van Zandt. Embracing fatherhood, they welcomed two children Zurri Rene&egrave and Kamal O'Neil. Blake worked in the oil field until he and his family moved to San Antonio, TX in 2014 where they currently reside. His carefree, confident, live in the moment mentality lead him to a passion and respect of the life on two wheels, leading him to meet his extended family "His Brothers". Blake was loved by all that knew him. If you didn't you'd know exactly how he felt, saying it while smiling and that unmistakable laugh that made you want to know more of him. A rare free spirit that lived every day to its fullest doing what he loved; being a father & beating pavement, one mile at a time.

Blake is preceded in death by his grandfather (John Henry Chase), one brother (John William Chase) and a host of aunts and uncles.

siblings, Lynsey J Chase (SA), Chelsea Leigh Williams (Colorado Springs), Orlando Chase (US Army/Alaska), Wesley Dean Cooper & Joshua Joiner (Hamlin);grandparents, Burnett K Chase (Hamlin); James and Gloria Cork (Midland); aunts and uncles, James (Michelle) Cork (Jacksonville); Donazahy (Antonio) Patterson (Brownwood);Johnny Chase (Austin); Tommy (Carley) Chase (Abilene); Yolanda Sexius (Arlington); and nephew, Khalon Chase (SA).
