Cleota White

Cleota DeGwen White- A celebration of life will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Afton Cemetery, directed by Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home.

Today is a sad for all of us gathered here, but oh, what a glorious day it is for Cleota DeGwen White of Wichita Falls, TX. She now rests in the arms of her best friend, Jesus Christ. DeGwen had personally talked to him for many, many years, and in the early morning hours on Thursday, March, 2, 2017, she finally met Him face to face.

DeGwen was the daughter of Raymond Arthur Sanderlin and Donnie Mabel Townsend Sanderlin, who preceded her in death. She was born in Dumas, TX on February 19, 1943 and later resided in Hamlin, TX where she grew up and attended school.

On December, 11, 1964 she married her life- long love, William White III and they were married for 53 years. During those years, God blessed them with four precious children: Robert Michael White and DeAnna Marie Keith both of Wichita, Falls, TX, Gwenon Chablie Davis of Spokane, WA, and Shannon Rae Donna White of Brentwood, CA. God decided to extend His blessings by giving her the special love of Brenden Ford, her grandson, the joy of her life. She leaves behind one sister and one brother, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

DeGwen loved being a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She proudly shared with family and friends the many accomplishments of her children and grandson. She loved so much being in the presence of God's children, and loved her church and church family. She always spoke fondly of her Pastor with much appreciation.

Thank you for sharing in this celebration today of my wife, mother and grandmother.
