Danny Gholson

Danny Lynn Gholson, 62, of Hamlin Texas passed away on December 4, 2022 after a long, courageous battle with kidney and heart disease.

Danny was born on August 26, 1960, to Bobby Roe and Joyce Coplen Gholson in Aspermont, Texas.  After Danny graduated from Aspermont High School, he went on to start a career as a truck driver.  Danny ended his career driving for Fed-Ex Freight before retiring to take care of his medical needs.  While continuing dialysis treatment, he kept busy helping friends and family however he could, always going above and beyond.  Danny could often be found at D&D Collision, where he enjoyed spending time with friends.  He visited The Piper daily to meet the crew for the latest town talk and laughs.  Danny was an avid fisherman, who enjoyed taking his bass boat to the lake with his buddies as well as going on guided fishing trips with James Davis Guide Service.  Danny loved telling stories of his adventures and would always have an accurate measurement of the fish he had caught.

Danny was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Misty, his parents, Bobby and Joyce, Aunt Pat Gholson, and Levi Gholson.

Danny is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Justin) Hinds of Abilene, Texas.  He is also survived by the mother of his children, Theresa Gholson; Uncle, William Gholson;  Uncle, James (June) Gholson;  Nikki Gholson, Bill (Melissa) Gholson, as well as numerous family members and friends.
