Donna Lafler

Donna Sue Lafler (Stone), 48, of Hamlin, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, in Abilene, Texas. Her service will be 2:00 PM, Friday, August 27, 2021, at the Central Baptist Church in Hamlin TX, with burial to follow in the McCaulley Cemetery, directed by Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at the Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home in Hamlin.

Donna was born October 9, 1972, to Arlon Stone and Pauline Williams. She married William C. Lafler on December 10, 1990. She began her career with the Hamlin ISD school cafeteria in 2018.

Donna was the rock of the family. She loved her children, grandchildren, and all the school kids. She was a strong Christian lady and always put others first. Donna loved all her family and friends unconditionally. Her heart was made of gold.

Donna was preceded in death by her father, Arlon Royce Stone; and two sisters, Debbie Damron and Sonja Koonce.

She is survived by her husband, Chris Lafler; four sons, Timothy Lafler (Elizabeth), Tyler Lafler, Christopher Lafler, and Cody Lafler; grandchildren, Gage, Aryanna, Paisley, Brandon and Hailey; mother, Pauline Williams; brothers, Patrick McCrohan (Phyllis), Wesley Stone, and Donnie Stone (CJ); sisters, Michelene Williams (Robert), Diana Yankie (Chris), Karen Stone-Anderson (Glen), Dori Stone, and Chrissy Rogers (Blake); two aunts, Shelia Reed (Marion) and Lois Aklin (Dallas); numerous nieces and nephews; and countless cousins. Donna loved her family with all her heart.
