Dorothy Earlene Meeks Williams, 91, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013, at the Hamlin Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2014, at the AdamsFosterRay Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following at the Hamlin Memorial Cemetery, ed by AdamsFosterRay Funeral Home. ation will be held from 1:001:45 p.m. Thursday before the service.

Born January 19, 1922, in May, Texas, Earlene was the daughter of the late Dewie and Sadie Butler Meeks. She married Earl Williams July 14, 1940 in Hamlin. She was a nurse at the Hamlin Memorial Hospital and Clinic for over 30 years. Earlene was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and had lived in Hamlin for most of her life.

Her husband, Earl, preceded her in death, as well as her daughter, Glenda, and her granddaughter, Janet. Six sisters Alletta, Winnie, Lucille, Thelma, Joye, and Bonnie also preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son and daughterinlaw, Ray and Linda Williams of Huntington Beach, California a granddaughter, Sandi Martin and her husband, Mike, of Arlington, TX Two grandsons, Stephen Williams of Sweetwater, TX, and Jason Williams and his wife Mandy of Fountain Valley, CA six greatgrandchildren and several greatgreat grandchildren her sister, Patsy Dorrene Dawkins of Abilene soninlaw, Herman Williams of Sweetwater numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins and special friends Joye and Harold Mayo.
