Carl Dwain Wall, 76, passed away in Abilene on Thursday August 10, 2023 surrounded by his family. A visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 pm on August 19, 2023 at the Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home Chapel in Hamlin.

Dwain was born October 15, 1946 in Santa Cruz, California to the late Carl and Lavern (Wilson) Wall. He graduated from McCaulley High School and joined the United States Marine Corps in 1966 serving during the Vietnam War. Dwain married the love of his life, Jacqulyn Brown on December 4, 1965 in Hamlin. After proudly serving in the United States Military, Dwain worked in the oil industry in Texas, Wyoming, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Kansas until his retirement in 2013. He loved and worked hard for his family. Dwain enjoyed fishing, going hunting and had a love for animals.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqulyn Wall; two daughters, Leslie Wall, and Kristie (John) Vanderveen; one granddaughter, Gabrielle Vanderveen, one grandson, Garrett Vanderveen; two brothers; two sisters; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Hendrick Hospice of Abilene.
