Edna Bailey

EDNA NEOMA BAILEY, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 7, 2016. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at the Hamlin Church of the Nazarene, with burial following at Hamlin Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2016, at Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home.
Born December 4, 1930, in Royston, Texas, Neoma was the daughter of Lee and Mattie Smart. She married James Clay Bailey in Hamlin, Texas. She was a long-time active member of the Hamlin Foursquare Church, and served on the Hamlin Cemetery Board. Neoma worked for many years at the Hamlin National Bank.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Bailey; her daughter, Marsha; her brothers, Delbert, R.L., Carl, and Verlous and wife, Evelyn; her sister, Pauline; and her best friend, Langly Rister.
Neoma is survived by her daughter, Linda (Butch) Nuding; her son, Michael (LaJean) Bailey; three sisters, Lucille (Bill) Carter, Lorene Dowell, and LaVerne (Butch) Glass; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
