Elisa D. Herrera

Elisa D. Herrera of Hamlin passed away Monday, January 8, 2024 at the age of 59. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home Chapel in Hamlin. There will be a visitation from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the Funeral Home.

Elisa was born September 5, 1964 in Mulato, Chihuahua, Mexico to Estella (Zamora) and Manuel Delgado. She was a strong, feisty lady. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, but never underestimate her bluntness, weather you were family or friend.  Elisa was competitive, she would spend all night playing Nintendo (Zelda or Super Mario Bros) until she could beat each level. If you knew her she was always ready for her soda and lottery tickets.   Elisa loved to go fishing, play bingo and care for her dogs.

Elisa was preceded in death by her parents; one infant child; and one sister.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest Herrera, Sr: two sons, Ernest Herrera Jr. and Max Delgado; two daughters, Amanda Herrera, and Latoya Hunter; one brother, Sabino; five sisters, Mary Ann, Trinidad, Guadalupe, Lucy and Manuela; twelve grandchildren; and many friends.
