Evelyn Arnett

Born June 9, 1932, at the family homestead in Pleasant Valley, Texas, Evelyn was the daughter of Andrew Jackson Mattie Price Key, She was raised in Rotan, Texas, and worked at the First National Bank of Rotan in the field of insurance business and banking for many years. On May 12, 1984, she married Norman Arnett in Aspermont, Texas. The couple lived outside of Rotan until 1999, when they moved to Hamlin. Evelyn moved to Plano following Normans death in 2013. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Plano. In her spare time, Evelyn enjoyed Quilting, China Painting, and Shopping. Evelyn loved spending time with her family, especially her greatgrandson, Jackson Thomas Barnes.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Norman Arnett her son, Donald Kenneth Kelly and her sister, Ellen Key Canfil.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Stephanie Barnes and her husband, Gary, of Plano her greatgrandson, Jackson Thomas Barnes of Plano and her nephew, Steve Canfil and his wife, Ellen, and their children, Justin and Emily, of Strongsville, OH.
