Hamlin-Geneva Thelma McNiel, 74, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015, in Hamlin. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2015, at the Central Baptist Church. Burial will be at Willow Creek Cemetery, in Haskell, under the direction of Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015, at the funeral home.
Born August 16, 1940, in Los Angeles, CA, Geneva was the daughter of the late C.G. and Opal Dicey (Wiley) Malone. She married the love of her life Randal McNiel, Sr. in Brownfield. Geneva enjoyed sewing, watching soap operas, playing games and going to the lake with her family. One of Geneva's all time enjoyments was talking on the phone and keeping up with family and friends.
Geneva is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Evelyn "Sissy" McNiel; two brothers, Mike Malone and Robert Malone; two sisters, Jean Jenkins, and Cathrine Malone; and one grandson, Johnny Earl McNiel.
Survivors include her sons, Mike McNiel, Randall McNiel, Jr., Johnny McNiel, Ronnie McNiel, Delbert McNiel, Jack McNiel, and Steven Tyres; daughters, Gina Nieto, Debra Watson, and Tabitha Brown; one brother, Johnny Malone; one sister, Ester Carey; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
