George Scifres

GEORGE PRESTON SCIFRES, 46, passed away December 18, 2013. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2013, at the First Baptist Church, under the ion of AdamsFosterRay Funeral Home.

Born December 15, 1967, in San Antonio, George was the son of Ruby Campbell Carter and Bobby Wayne Scifres. He graduated from Hamlin High School in 1986 and attended Western Texas College. George worked for Cooper Oil Company. He enjoyed fishing, loved to eat, playing golf and hunting.

George is preceded in death by his grandparents George and Lucille Campbell and William Preston and Eula Etta Scifres.

Survivors include his sons, Jacob Ryne Scifres and wife, Becky of Snyder, Kegan Joseph Scifres of snyder, Luke Preston Scifres of Brownfield, Isaac Garcia of Brownfield, and Jonathan Ledesma of Brownfield three grandchildren, Demetrius Guerrero, Marissa Johnson and Kyra Nichols sister, LaEtta Scifres AkbarAli of Lubbock mother, Ruby Carter of Hamlin father, Bobby Wayne Scifres wife, Barbara of Hamlin two nieces, Anna Ruby AkbarAli and Sarah Aisha AkbarAli.
