Glenna Woods

Glenna Lyn Woods, 83, of Hamlin passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017 in Abilene. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at the Hamlin Church of the Nazarene Fellowship Hall.

Glenna Lyn Brewer Woods was born on May 25, 1934 in Hamlin, TX to Elmer Brewer and Ethel (Fry) Brewer. She was a graduate of Hamlin High School. Glenna worked for Pied Piper Mills and, as a dispatcher, for the Hamlin Police Department. She was honored one year as the Hamlin Coming Home Queen. Glenna loved her grandchildren with all her heart; they were the light of her life. She enjoyed reading, watching mysteries/soap operas, shopping, getting her nails/hair done and on occasion she'd have a strawberry daiquiri as a nightcap. Glenna was a member of the Pritchard family for many years and remained close to them throughout out her life, and even depended on them at times. Glenna was a loving, caring woman and will be dearly missed by all those who knew her and loved her.

Glenna was preceded in death by her husband, James Woods; her parents, Elmer and Ethel Brewer; and sister, Elma Ree Crowley.

Glenna is survived by her children; Shane Pritchard and his girlfriend, Patricia Mireles, Gary Pool and his wife, Bendi, Barbee Brownlee and her husband, Lynn and Lana Wall; her grandchildren, Chris Craig, Ashley Cockerell, Casey Wilkerson, Michael Wilkerson, Eliece Pool and Shay Pool; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces and 1 nephew.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Hamlin Church of the Nazarene, in Glenna's name.
