Gregoria Gonzalez Romero

Beloved Mother of 8, Grandmother of 19, Great Grandmother of 15, Great-Great Grandmother of 3 and friend to many passed away on February 25, 2025. 

 She was born March 12, 1931, the daughter of the late Olivio and Aurora Gonzalez. She married the love of her life Alfredo Romero on March 12, 1950, in Bishop, TX. Gregoria and her late husband Alfredo worked on the Ranch for W.C. Matchett where they raised their seven children through hard work. They both left the ranch in 1990 as they retired. Gregoria loved beautiful days where she could be outside planting gardens, growing flowers and taking care of things that needed to be done around the home. 

 Gregoria was a very independent, humble and proud woman. She had three loves in her life: God, her husband, and all of her children and grandchildren. Gregoria always was genuine and loving. She loved to cook and garden but most show her many talents with the food she would make and the garden that she grew. She always smiled and even through her illness she maintained her strength and dedication to her family. She has left a strong impact on her family and has shown each one of us how dedication and hard work pay off. She will be tremendously missed. 

 Gregoria is preceded in death by her husband Alfredo, her son Ruben and infant son Christopher, her parents Aurora and Olivio Gonzalez, and 3 brothers.

 Gregoria is survived by her children Gloria Hernandez (and husband Mike), Adela Brake (late husband Larry), Gilbert Romero (wife Frances), Dora Romero (late husband John), Virginia Valdez (husband Antonio) and Edward Romero. 19 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grand Children and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.
