Hazel Laverne Grice was born June 9, 1932 in San Saba, Texas to Lurlene Smith and Archie Stovall.  She has three sisters VIrgie Altman, Billie Richards, and Dornita Gray.  Hazel passed away peacefully with family April 16, 2020 in Hamlin, Texas.  Hazel met and married the love of her life Merle Grice on July 27, 1948 in Aspermont, Texas. They were blessed with three children and lots of happy memories. Hazel was a faithful member of the Hamlin Church of Christ with Hazel’s greatest joy being spending time with family and studying her bible.

Hazel left a legacy of five generations which includes her two daughters Merline Berry and Sheila Wilson (husband James Wilson); her grandchildren Jeannie Russell (husband Billy Russell), John Berry (wife Holly Berry), Matthew Grice, Deanna McNeely (husband Willie McNeely) and Michael Wilson; her great-grandchildren Kevin Berry, Garrett Russell (wife Sydney Russell), Joseph Russell, William Berry, Morgan Russell, Samuel McNeely, Zane McNeely, Lizzie McNeely, and Nolan McNeely; and one great-great-grandchild Kaycee Russell.  She is proceeded in death by her husband, son Kenneth Grice, and her mother.

The family would like to thank everyone for your prayers and support during this difficult time.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to the Hamlin Church of Christ in honor of Hazel Grice.
