Irma Reyes Ferdin, 55, of Hamlin passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020.Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the Hamlin Foursquare Church. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2020 at the Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home.
Irma was born in Hamlin, Texas on July 7, 1965 to Raul Reyes Sr. and Manuela Macias. She loved Christmas. Everyone knew that she had a Christmas tree set up in her living room in July. She enjoyed arts and crafts, cooking (making burritos), dancing and listening to music. If you went to the VFW you would certainly see her there. Irma also loved playing slot machines. She was friendly and loved everyone she met. She always had a smile and talked to everyone she saw. Irma loved spending time with her daughter playing games. She lived in Austin most of her life and was a manager at HEB for twelve years. She also lived in Wichita Falls and worked as a registered dental assistant for five years. Irma moved back to Hamlin where she and Esmeralda Rivera ran the R & R Burrito Shack. Everyone loved eating their food. Irma was loved and will be missed by so many.
Irma is preceded in death by; her mother, Manuela Reyes; brother, Raul Reyes Jr.; sister, Suelema Reyes; and nephew, Lupe Alvarado Jr.
She is survived by; her daughter, Mea Reyes; father, Raul Reyes Sr. (natividad Carrillo);three sisters, Amanda Heaton (Todd), Sylvia Torres, Nelda Carbajal (Robert Montez); six brothers, Saul Reyes (Mike Argy), Jessie Flores (Naomi), Manuel Guardado Jr., Patrick Reyes, Matthew Reyes, and Paul Reyes;and uncle, Adolfo Reyes.
