Jackie Jeffrey

Born October 15, 1944, in Rotan, Texas, Jackie was the son of Trueitt and Lydia Jewel (Gibson) Jeffrey. He graduated from McCaulley High School and married Barbara Sue Brown on May 3, 1962, at the McCaulley Baptist Church. Jackie farmed in the McCaulley area for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed carpentry, working with his hands, sports, and gambling. He was a member of the McCaulley Baptist Church until its dissolution, then he joined the McCaulley Methodist Church.
Jackie is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jeffrey; his parents, Trueitt and Lydia Jeffrey; his son, Michael Britt Jeffrey; three brothers; and an infant sister.
He is survived by one son, Jay T. Jeffrey (Ermila); two daughters, Tami Maberry (Ken) and Lori Benavides; one aunt, Estelle Self; seven grandchildren, Molli, Wylie, Ashton (Cheyenne), Shea, Bailey, Camron, and Amelia; and three great-grandchildren, Tadem, Titus, and Mila.
