Born July 12, 1926, J.F. was the son of Richard Morton and Mary Melinda Bates Weaver. In 1943, he married Ava Grace Hill in Jones County, Texas. He worked at the Celotex plant in Hamlin for 31 years, finishing his career as the plant electrician. J.F. moved from Hamlin in 1979, and lived several places before returning to Hamlin in 2009. Although he left Hamlin for several years, he always considered Hamlin to be his hometown. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, golf, and dominoes. J.F. was a talented musician, who played the guitar, mandolin, and harmonica. He especially enjoyed playing music with his family. J.F. was a member of the Forsan Baptist Church in Forsan, Texas.
J.F. is preceded in death by his wife, Ava Weaver his parents, Richard and Mary Weaver and five brothers, Donald, Melton, Nolen, Freddy, and Danny Weaver.
He is survived by three sons, Dennis Weaver and wife, Janice, of Seguin, Dwayne Weaver and wife, Dana, of Dallas, and Darren Weaver and wife, Holly, of Forsan one daughter, Dereta Harshbarger of Lubbock three brothers, Gerald Weaver of Hamlin, Clayton Weaver and wife, Barbara, of Hamlin, and Billy Weaver and wife, Betty, of Hamlin two sisters, Catherine Dunham of Jayton, and Josephine Rae of Hamlin eleven grandchildren eleven greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
