Jean Davis

Lorena Imajean (Jean) Davis was born June 6, 1929, to Martha Earl and Inez Ross. Jean was the youngest of eight children. She passed away on December 7, 2022, in Abilene, Texas.

Jean married Bill D. Davis on June 1, 1949 in Stamford, TX and was married until he passed on October 17, 1988. They moved to Hamlin, TX in 1950. She lived most of her life in Hamlin, where she was a Nurse for several years, before becoming the Secretary to the Principal and Superintendent of the Hamlin ISD. She moved to Abilene, TX in 2004 to be closer to her family. In retirement, she worked several more years at the Hendrick Hospital - North gift store. She has been a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Hamlin and the River of Life Church in Abilene.

Jean is survived by her two sons and their wives, Lynn and Marge Davis of Arlington, Texas, and Mike and Joni Davis of Abilene, Texas.; two grandsons, Miller Davis of Lubbock, Texas and Mason and Lianna Davis of Arlington, Texas.; and one great-granddaughter, Parker Joy Davis of Arlington, Texas.

As Jean requested, a private graveside service will be held, for the immediate family, at the Hamlin Memorial Cemetery.
