Jesse Earl Hooper began his life on March 03, 1963 in Stamford, Texas to the parents of the late Norma Ervine Hooper and the late Willie James Hooper Sr.
Jesse attended school within the Hamlin Independent School System and graduated in the class of 1983.
Jesse accepted Christ at Oak Grove Baptist Church where he
was baptized. At the age of 14 he accepted his calling into the Ministry under the leadship of The late Dr. Leo F. Scott.
Jesse later moved to the Dallas area and there he was ordained by Pastor Billey Matthew at West Mount Horeb Baptist Church. He was called to Pastor, Mt Olive Baptist Church in Stamford, Texas, Mt Zion Baptist Church in Colorado City, Texas, Plainview Missionary Baptist Church in Idabel, Oklahoma, and Faith Base Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, where
he remained the pastor until the Lord called him from labor to reward.
Jesse was employed by E-System, Salvation Army and he was a certified Caregiver at New Direction Home and Garcia Home.
Rev as he was called by family and friends, did not miss an occasion for the family nor funerals. That little white car and white suit was there. We will miss the car engine and Hoopers don’t die they multiply. He was always there for family.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Norma Jean Hooper Williams, father: Willie James Hooper, brother: Willie James Hooper Jr. and sister: Sandra Hooper.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters: Lisa Mason and Kierra Williams, one son: Clinton Roberson, and two step-sons: Kevin Giles and Tevin Giles. Eleven grand-children and one great-grandchild. Nine sisters: Kathy Marshall (Oscar), Barbara Brown (William), Elizabeth Pressey (Paul), Elisa Baldwin (Rick), Jacqueline Gardner (Edward), Charlotte Duffey (Jeffery), Vera Hooper, Yvonia “Laura” Paige, and Grettna Paige, two brothers: Reginald Paige and Jamie Paige (Amber). A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friend.
