James William Haas of Callisburg, Texas was born to Myles and Jeanette Haas in Savanna, Illinois and passed from this life August 25, 2015.
Jim is survived by his wife, Cheryl Haas, of Callisburg, Texas; his sons, William Haas and wife, Kelli, of McKinney, Texas, Joseph Haas of Midland, Texas, Keith and wife, Dayna, of Callisburg, Texas, Todd and wife, Dawn, of Lake Jackson, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; his sister, Nancy Schuester; the mother of his children, Theresa Brown; his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Nancy Stout, Odessa, Texas and a host of friends who loved him dearly.
Jim served in the United States Air Force, and did a tour in Vietnam. He was the Commander of Post 430 of the American Legion of Odessa, Texas, and 16th District Commander. He was also active in Reel Thanx and the Patriot Guard.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors at UT-Southwestern in Dallas, Texas, especially Dr. Pelosof.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 28th at the First Baptist Church in Hamlin, Texas, with internment to follow at the Neinda Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gary Whisenhunt, Mike Agee, Dr. Lee Uselton, Don Lawson.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to Reel Thanx (PO Box 431 Midland, TX 79702) to help the veterans.
