Joe Eddie Bogle, a lifelong resident of Hamlin, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 24 , 2024, at the age of 81. Born on April 1, 1943, Joe devoted his life to his family, church, community, and career, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and love.
Joe was the proud owner of Bogle Construction, where he took immense pride in his craftsmanship and contributions to the local area. His commitment to quality and integrity not only earned him respect in his trade but also strengthened the community he cherished.
A graduate of Hamlin High School, Joe remained devoted to his hometown throughout his life. He was actively involved in his church and was passionate about woodworking, using his skills to create not just objects but cherished memories for family and friends. An avid sports fan, he attended an impressive 657 games over a span of 50 years without missing a single one, showcasing his dedication and passion.
Joe's most significant accomplishment was his marriage to his beloved wife, Wanda Bogle, with whom he shared 61 years of companionship and love. Together, they raised a family that brought them immense joy and pride.
Joe is survived by his wife, Wanda; daughters Cindy and her husband Paul Ray Hastings, and Katrina Bogle; and grandchildren: Joe Thomas Bogle and his wife Stephannie, Justin Hastings and his wife Chelsea, and Larissa Stegemoeller and her husband Bailey, and Tiffany Proffitt. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Hadlee Jo Bogle, Fallyn Hastings, and Brittyn Hastings. Additionally, he embraced his role as a father figure to Ronald Crouch and his wife Pam.
Joe is survived by his siblings, including his brother Charles Bogle and sisters Jo Annie Bogle and Rosey Mary Butler. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard Thomas Bogle and Martha Theora Clawson, and several beloved siblings: Willie Alexander Bogle, George Cavin Bogle, Thomas (R.T.) Bogle, Johnny Junior Bogle, Tilton Leon Bogle, and Danny Arnold Bogle, as well as his sister Izora Lenara Bogle and Ruby Lee Bogle.
Joe’s funeral service will be held at Hamlin Church of Nazarene, located at 113 SW Ave C, Hamlin, TX 79520, on November 26, 2024, at 1:30 PM. Friends and family are welcome together to celebrate a life well-lived.
His enduring spirit, love for family, and commitment to his community will forever be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
