Josefa was the daughter of Jose Dalgado and Carmen (Martinez) Barcinas. As a young girl, she survived the Japanese occupation of Guam during World War II. She married Jose T. Leon Guerrero on September 18, 1957, in Talofofo, Guam. Josefa worked as a cafeteria worker for the United States Department of Education. In her spare time, Josefa enjoyed gardening, painting, stepping stones, and playing bingo. Josefa attended San Vicente Catholic Church in Barrigada, Guam.
Josefa is preceded in death by her husband, Jose T. Leon Guerrero; her parents, Jose Dalgado and Carmen Martinez Barcinas; and two brothers, Jesus Martinez Barcinas and Jose Martinez Barcinas.
She is survived by her children, Raymond B. Leon Guerrero and wife, Kimberly Seymour of Hamlin; Mary Lg Tighe and husband, Joseph, of Flemington, Missouri; grandchildren, Randi Elizabeth Pritchard and David Pritchard; and great-grandchildren, Brooke and Caleb Thompson, and Kason and McKenzi Pritchard.
