HAMLINJOY M. ROSE SPALDING, 87, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012, in Hamlin. Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church 48 S.W. Ave. A, Hamlin, Texas . Burial will be in Hamlin Memorial Cemetery ed by AdamsFosterRay Funeral Home, 505 N.W. 5th Street, Hamlin, Texas. ation will be 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at the funeral home.

Born October 30, 1924, in Haskell, Joy was a daughter of the late Joseph and Ethel Neely Rose. She married Aubrey V. Spalding August 14, 1942, in Haskell and moved to Hamlin in the late 194039s. Joy loved spending time with her family, especially cooking break at sunrise and seeing them off for the day. She also enjoyed gardening. Joy was an active member of the House of Prayer Holiness Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Aubrey, one son Larry Gene Spalding, one daughter Linda Sue Clemmer, two brothers Truett Rose and Wendell Rose and two sisters Pauline Webb Williams and Juanita Session.

Joy is survived by her children, Doug and Bobbye Spalding, James and Valencia Spalding, Ted and Melba Spalding, Polly and Jearl Houghton, all of Hamlin, Arvin and Dorcas Spalding, and Joe and Gaytha Spalding, all of Hobbs, NM one brother, Rolland Rose of Abilene twentyone grandchildren and thirtyfour greatgrandchildren.
