Juan Ledesma, Sr.

Juan S. Ledesma, Sr., was born on February 8, 1947, in Hondo, Texas, to Magdaleno and Graviela Ledesma. He married Sarah Lechuga in Hamlin, Texas, on May 9, 1964. Juan raised his children in Hamlin, and spend many hard working years farming and later in the oilfield industry. His six children, twenty-three grandchildren, and thirty-three great-grandchildren will cherish and always remember his black cowboy hat, the sound of his voice, and most importantly his hard work ethic.

Survivors include his children, John Ledesma, Jr. (Rebecca Villareal) and Robert Ledesma of Blanco; Carolina Flores (Mario Gonzales) and Weddo Ledesma (Cheryl Weaver) of Hamlin; Margarita Ledesma (Joe Guevara) and Laura Ledesma (Xerxes Lara) of Abilene; his brother, Pete Ledesma, Sr. (Josie); and several nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and close friends.

Pallbearers are John Edward Ledesma, Miguel Flores, Justin Stewart, Chris Ledesma, Alex Rodriguez, and Daniel Contreras.

Honorary Pallbearers are Pete Ledesma, Jr., Freddy Salazar, Lupe Ortega, Omar De La Fuentes, Jr., Wyatt Ledesma and Dickie Wade
