Linda (Brown) Baker

June 19, 1947 — March 28, 2025

Linda Brown Baker was born June 19, 1947 in Fisher County, to Arza Staton and Fannie Emma (Dennis) Brown. She attended schools in Hamlin. After High School, Linda married Kenneth Alton Preston and they had a daughter Laurie Ann (Preston) Stewart. Linda moved back to Hamlin in the early 80’s and took care of her parents until they passed. Linda moved to Lubbock Texas in 2007 with daughter Laurie. Linda worked for Walmart for nineteen- and one-half years. Linda loved to read and spend time with family, friends, and especially her grandson and great grandchildren.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Hoyle, Joe and Don of Hamlin. Linda is survived by one brother, Jerry Brown (and wife LaVona) of Hamlin; one sister, Wanda Bales of Sulphur Springs; one daughter, Laurie Stewart (and husband Paul) of Lubbock; one grandson, Ty B. Stewart (and wife Kirsten) of Lubbock; Seven great grandchildren, Echo Alexandria Stewart, Penelope Grace Stewart, Connor Bradley Stewart, Ruger Layne Stewart, Laramie Drew Stewart, Cooper Presley Stewart, and Aria Rayne Farmer.
