Lyndia Ford McNutt, 79, passed away February 27, 2020, in Hamlin after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. A graveside service will be held in Aspermont Cemetery, Sunday, March 1, at 2:30 pm led by her son in law, Gary Lain.
Born July 9, 1940, in Hall County, Lyndia was the daughter of the late Luther Armel Ford, and James A. and Billie Clark. She attended Peacock schools until they closed, then graduated Aspermont High School in 1958.
Lyndia married Harold Bryant McNutt, September 26, 1958, in Aspermont. They were married 48 years. Harold passed away January 3, 2007.
Lyndia worked for the USPS and later for the Double Mountain Coach. She taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She loved golf, writing poetry, and gardening. She made the best chocolate pies and banana pudding!
Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Jana and Gary Lain of Hamlin; son, David McNutt of Sulpher, Oklahoma; son and daughter in law, Don and Meledy of Sulpher, Oklahoma; two brothers, Neal and Sharon Ford of Illinois, and Sid and Peggy Ford of Illinois; one brother-in-law, Buddy and Sally McNutt of Aspermont; three grandchildren, Jenifer (and husband, Zach) Holtzman of Lubbock; Kristyn (and husband, Aaron) Walker of Graham; Joshua (and wife, Sarah) Lain of Abilene; as well as 11 great grandkids, Preston, Garrett, and Ethan Holtzman; Cason, Bryce, Valyn, and Lincoln Walker; Whaley, Gideon, Ava, and Edison Lain.
