Mario Franco

Jose Mario Franco, 76, passed from this life peacefully at his home on December 5, 2019. A rosary will be held at 6:00 pm on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home Chapel in Hamlin. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, December 9, 2019, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church.  Burial will be in Hamlin Memorial Cemetery, directed by Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home.

Mario was born December 18, 1942, in Piedras Negras Coahuila, Mexico. As a young husband and father of three sons, and three daughters. Mario came to Texas in search of opportunity for his family. He succeeded and was employed by the late Barry Moore as a livestock maintenance work and later as an equipment operator for Moore Elevators until his retirement. As the rock of his family, Mario was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Mario leaves a legacy of striving for better opportunities for family and strong family values.

Mario was preceded by his son, Hector Franco; his parents, Florentino and Juanita Franco; one sister and seven brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Guadapule Franco, of fifty-nine years; a sister, Maria DeLosAngeles Franco Munoz of Teague, Texas; one brother, Tomas Franco, of Hamlin; three daughters, Leticia Flores of Hamlin, Santa Franco of Hamlin; and Rebeca Burnett of Abilene; two sons, Victor Franco of Hamlin and Mario Franco Jr. of Hamlin; ten grandchildren, Joe Flores III, Avery Wagner, Ayron Wagner, Jaxon Burnett, Jagger Burnett, Hector Franco Jr., Laura Martin, Lesley Barrientes, Lizette Flores, and Erika Franco; three great-grandchildren, Levi Barrientes, Jolyssa Flores, and Mason Martin.
