Marion Clay McNeely, 57, of Hamlin, passed away on April 3, 2019 in Hamlin at his home.
Visitation will be 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm Friday, April 5, 2019 at Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm, Saturday April 6, 2019 at Central Baptist Church with pastor James Clawson, officiating. Burial will follow at Hamlin Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home.
Clay was born in Grants, New Mexico to M.W "Mac" and Joye McNeely on December 4th, 1961. He went to school at Anson, Texas. He married Raenell Wilson on March 7th, 1981 in Anson, Texas. Clay and Raenell just celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary. He worked as an Oilfield foreman for Rover Petroleum at the time of his death but worked numerous years in the oilfield. Clay was a man of honor who worked hard for his family all his life. He enjoyed golf at the local golf course, hanging out with good friends, singing karaoke and spending time with his grandkids. Clay and his son Willie enjoyed 6 years of dirt track racing, where they spent every Saturday night creating unforgettable memories. Clay was a faithful member of the Central Baptist Church.
Clay is preceded in death by his parents, a twin brother Sammy Wray.
Clay is survived by wife Raenell McNeely, son Willie McNeely (Deanna) of Hamlin, daughter Amanda Langston (Brandon) of Slaton, two grandsons Samuel and Zane McNeely and three granddaughters Landrie and Emerie Langston and Lizzie McNeely, special grandson Jakobe Goodgame.
He is survived by four sisters Susan Jordan (Clifford) of Hawley, Theresa Carrington of Anson, Diana Pilson of Anson, and Krisi Garner (Jackie) of Anson, a sister in law Lesa Davis of Hamlin and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chance Brown, Danny Clawson, Evert Davis, Jason Jordan, Jake Pilson, Adolfo Rivera, Mike Sawyers, Clint Wheat
Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Clawson, Joe Collier, James Cowsert, Chris Lafler, John Rister
