Nell Glover Lewis of Midland, Texas passed away to her home in heaven on November 25, 2018. Nell was born November 19, 1928 in DeLeon, Texas to William Sanders "Sandy" Glover and Myrtle Lou Cogburn Glover. Nell graduated from Winters High School in 1945 and attended Draughon's Business College in Abilene, Texas. Nell married Jack Lewis on November 16, 1955 in Abilene, Texas and subsequently had Blain in 1957. They moved to Brookhaven, Mississippi and had Randall in 1960. They eventually settled in Hamlin, Texas in 1962 and had Kevin in 1965 and Kyle in 1969. Hamlin was home from that point forward. Nell was a member of First Baptist Church where she was a former member of the Friends Sunday School class. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking for her family and her many grandkids before Alzheimer's set in.
Nell is survived by her sons Blain Lewis and his wife Judy of Midland, TX, Randall Lewis of Okinawa Japan, Kevin Lewis and his wife Barbara of Lubbock, TX, Kyle Lewis and his wife Amy of Midland, TX, grandchildren, Lauren, Michael, Jeremy, Matthew and Timothy and step grandson, Gyven. Nell is also survived by her sister Lounette Glover Templeton of Seattle, WA and sister Judy Glover Hasley Norman-Perry of Kemah, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
Nell is preceded in death by her husband Jack, parents Sandy and Myrt, brother Sandy Glover, sisters Dorothy Glover Akins and Myra Glover Burton.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 10am until 12pm at Adams, Foster and Ray Funeral Home in Hamlin and graveside services will be held at Hamlin Memorial Cemetery at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Hamlin or the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
