HAMLIN NILA BELEW McDONALD, passed away April 5, 2014 in Andrews, Texas. MomMom is gone. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Hamlin Memorial Cemetery under the ion of AdamsFosterRay Funeral Home.
Born Nila Grey Belew, August 7, 1926, she married Claude McDonald in 1945. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Claude McDonald, her brother, Gerald Belew, her father, Marshall Belew, her mother, Nema Belew, and her sister, Jolene Graham.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Scott McDonald, married to Angelika, and Barry Keith McDonald, married to Pam. Grandchildren include Chelsea McDonald, Keith McDonald, and wife Crissy, and Lee McDonald, and husband Luke. Greatgrandchildren include Chelseas children, Ian and Tate, Keiths daughters, Emma and Adilyn, and Lees son, Lyle.
Nila and Claude were a great inspiration to all of us. Her MomMom isms became and still remain folklore among our families. Claude and Nila are with us today and will remain always. Nila was devout Church of Christ and gathered many friends throughout her years. Our families are so glad that she will be with the Lord and Claude for eternity.
Pallbearers shall be Keith McDonald, Luke McDonald, Casey Larned, and Rusty Rider. Honorary pallbearer is a close friend, Eddie Shelbert. Henry and Jane Norton have been asked to attend and say some parting words.
In lieu of flowers, the family recommends donating to Compass Hospice 1330 E. 8th, Suite 410 Odessa, TX 79761. Our families would like to extend the warmest of thanks to Permian Residential Care Center and Compass Hospice for all of their support and care.
