Norma Taness Driskell Ledbetter of Granbury, Texas entered into the Rest of Our Lord on May 6, 2020 at Baylor Scott Hospital, Dallas, Texas.
Norma was born on July 14, 1953 in San Angelo, Texas to Mildred Marie Tuder. She is the second of two daughters. She was raised in Hamlin, Texas by her grandparents, Homer and Billie Tuder. She got married on June 2, 1970 to her loving husband, Gary Ledbetter. Together they raised their two children, Jennifer Lynn and Ronald Shane, in west Texas. In 1993, she became a grandmother to Elizabeth Marie Ledbetter, and again in 2001 to Corbyn Rylynn Ledbetter. In 2006, she survived a double lung transplant. In 2013, she became a great-grandmother to David Conley and Brie Alvarado, in 2015 to Lennon Alvarado, and again in 2018 to Dakota Conley. She will be remembered for the way she loved her family, the way she spoke her mind, and the fact that she bought as much yarn as she could fit in her craft room.
Norma is survived by her husband, Gary Ledbetter of Granbury, Texas, one daughter, Jennifer Ledbetter of Granbury, Texas, one son, Ronald Ledbetter of Midland, Texas, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two nephews, and several cousins.
Norma is proceeded in death by her mother, Mildred Marie Riter, her grandparents, Billie Itura Pruett and Homer Lester Tuder, her step-father, Waldo Riter, and her sister, Cynthia Marie Casey.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 11, 2020 at 11:00 am at Hamlin Memorial Cemetery in Hamlin, Texas.
