Born December 4, 1957, Rickey was the son of Thomas Eugene and Patsy Turner Perry. He grew up in Hamlin, and spent most of his working career at the Hamlin Farmers Coop Gin. In his spare time, Rickey enjoyed fishing and BarBQing. He loved spending time with his family, and always called to check on them. Rickey made time for the people in his life, no matter what he was doing. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Rickey is preceded in death by his father his niece, Ashley Morgan and his nephew, David Allen Plantz.

He is survived by his mother, Patsy Perry two sons and daughtersinlaw, Rickey Perry and wife, Tabitha Morris, of Colorado City, and Clifton Perry and wife, Angelica Aquado, of Anson four stepchildren, Jimmy Lynch, Trudi Farnsworth, Martin Farsworth, and Kerrie Helmuth two brothers, Randy Darrell Perry and wife, Karen, of Anson, and Timothy Eugene Perry and wife, Deborah, of Arizona sister Ginger Dianne Green and husband, Allen, of Hamlin nine grandchildren twelve stepgrandchildren two greatgrandchild and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
