Thelma Sue Rawls

Thelma Sue Kimbell Rawls left this earth for her heavenly home on December 24, 2022.  A private family service will be held.  Sue was born November 22, 1941 to Charlie Brinton Kimbell and Maydell Smith Kimbell in Quitaque, Texas.  Sue married Larry Dell Rawls in Wellington in 1959. They lived in Dimmitt where she worked at the Dimmitt Bank for twelve years.   They moved to Hamlin in 1988 and she was employed by Hamlin National Bank as a proof operator for twenty-three years. She loved her job and being with the employees and customers.   She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church, Hamlin, Texas, and the Friends Sunday School Class.  Sue loved to serve her church family in many ways, including helping with the Summer Feeding Program for the children of her community.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her husband Larry; two sons, Rocky Rawls (Terri) and Scott Rawls (Ginny); 6 grandchildren, Logan, Kerwin, Dakota, Cassidy, Sheridan and Jarrod; 16 Great-grandchildren and one on the way.
