Tracy Hope Blanton, 59, peacefully gained her angel wings on Saturday, November 28, 2020, in Irving, Texas.
She was born on March 2, 1961, in Hamlin, Texas to the late JL and Hope Blanton. After the passing of her father, Tracy was blessed with her stepfather Mack Sellers who helped raise her and her sisters.
Tracy was a 1979 graduate of Sweetwater High School, crowned the Sweetwater Rattlesnake roundup queen, and revered in her field of work as a medical transcriptionist for over 25 years. Everyone knew her to be caring and compassionate with a quick wit and contagious laugh. She loved her daughter above all else and her family was her priority. Tracy truly lived life to the fullest. She loved spending time at the beach, chatting with family and friends, her “sister time”, and bragging about her grandkids. She never met a stranger and always had to know people’s story. Once you were friends with Tracy you had a friend forever.
Tracy is proceeded in death by her father, JL Blanton; mother, Hope Sellers; stepfather, Mack Sellers; grandparents- Ira and Hattie Green, and James and Tincy Blanton.
Tracy is survived by her daughter Courtney Birmingham and her husband Bryan; grandchildren Brennan and Brylee Birmingham; sisters- Debra Holland, Lana Clift and her husband Terry; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 5, 2020, at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Hamlin, Texas, with burial to follow at Hamlin Memorial Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020, at Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home from 5 to 6 p.m.
