Wanda was the daughter of Cyrus David and Myrtle (Woodall) Everton. On July 20, 1949, she married the love of her life, Doc Fulton Neal, in Anson. She worked for the Hamlin Hospital as an LVN for forty-three years, sharing her passion for helping others. Wanda was a loyal friend who served as a caretaker for her friends who needed her help. An avid fan of the Texas Rangers, she knew who all the players were, as well as their statistics. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hamlin, and enjoyed participating in her Sunday School class.
Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Doc Neal; her son, Terry Neal; her parents, Cyrus and Myrtle Everton; six brothers; and one sister.
She is survived by two sons, Gary Neal and wife, Leeia, and John Neal and wife, Ginger; one daughter, Diane Sharer and husband, Cliff; one brother, John Everton; two sisters, Bobbye Spalding and husband, Doug, and Lottie Williams; six grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
